Mr. Ware was born and raised in Allentown, Pa., where he graduated from Allentown High School in 1943 and attended Muhlenberg College, Class of 1949. He was a longtime resident of Langhorne before settling in Doylestown. Mr. Ware was employed as a Billing Supervisor with Giles and Ransome, Inc. in Bensalem for over 20 years until retiring. He was a volunteer at Doylestown Hospital and was active for many years with the Boy Scouts in Bensalem. Mr. Ware was a Navy veteran of World War II where he served as Quartermaster at various assignments in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sellersville.
He was the son of the late Wallace M. and Bessie M. (nee Krause) Ware of Allentown. Mr. Ware was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Ware (nee Walck). He is the loving father of Joseph Ware, Jr. of Jamison, Eric Ware of Doylestown and the late Lawrence, Laurie Ann and Jeffrey Ware. He is the grandfather of Joseph Ware, III, Jason Ware, Matthew Ware, Timothy Ware, Jacqueline Ware and the late Jeffrey Ware. He was the brother of the late James Ware, Sr. of Trevose.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 25 E. Church Street, Sellersville, Pa. where friends may call from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours at the funeral home. Arrangements are by the James J. Doughtery Funeral Home, Inc., Levittown.
