Margaret E. “Peep” (Glessner) Ware, 98, Friedens died Sept. 25, 2013, at Somerset “In Touch” Hospice House. Born June 6, 1915, in Berlin, daughter of Grover and Ivy (Carver) Glessner. Preceded in death by parents, husband Harry Ware, and sister Ilga Patterson. Survived by children: Judy married to Gilbert Bryan, Morgantown, W.Va., Randy married to the former Sally Urban, Friedens, and Todd married to the former Elizabeth Burdette, Morgantown, W.Va.; grandchildren: Patrick (Abby) Bryan, Parkersburg, W.Va.; Scott (Michele) Ware, Hooper, Utah; Tammy (Robert) Long, Bridgeville; Susan (Scott) Gahs, Boonsboro, Md.; Matthew Ware and fiancee Shanielle Howa, Newport Beach, Calif.; Ben (Amber) Ware, Scott Depot, W.Va.; and Kerry Ware, North Hollywood, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Seth, Landon, and Asher Bryan, Courtney, Tyler, and Maggie Ware, Brenna and Bradyn Long, and Ivy Ware; sisters-in-law: Marian Zimmerman, Jane and Hazel Ware; and brother-in-law: John Menser. She was a member of the first class to graduate from Shanksville-Stonycreek High School in 1933, and a faithful member of Friedens Lutheran Church, and the former Rebekah Sunday School Class. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family and her cat, Muff. “We thanked God every day to have been blessed with a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.” Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
