Ida Ellen Drummond Ware was born 25 Sep 1897 in Houston, Harris county, Texas to John Thomas Drummond and Ida Thompson. Her father was born in England and came over in 1890 landing in Houston, Texas. Her mother was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her parents married about 1892 and had the following 4 children:

Edward Henry Drummond, b. 13 Jun 1903

After the death of her mother in 1903 and her father shortly after 1911, Ida Ellen made her way to Los Angeles, California with her siblings and step-mother Westelle Rosalie Howard Drummond.

Ida Ellen married Alva Russell “Russ” Ware on 3 Aug 1919 in Los Angeles, California and they had two children (see husband’s memorial).

Ida passed away 4 Sep 1971 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California and was buried 9 Sep 1971 in the Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA.; Lot 100, Plot Myrtle. Her husband Russ passed away the next year and was laid to rest next to her.
