Jenness Bragg was adopted by his Uncle Rodney Ware after his mother died when he was 6 months old. He changed his last name to Ware when he was about 12 with permission from his biological father.

Served as a 1st Sgt. in the US Army in WWII Pacific Campaign. He was a partner in Ware Construction with his cousin Leet Ware.
