Johnie W. Ware lived in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, all of his life, where he owned and operated a farm. He was a Methodist. He was stricken with a stroke (cerebral hemorrhage) at his home near Houston and died at the Houston Hospital. His funeral was held on Saturday, December 18, 1954, at the Wesley Chapel, the Reverend Crawford Ray officiating. His interment was at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston, with the Kilgore-Norman Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Ware was survived by his wife, Mrs. Mala Ware, and two sons, David Harley Ware of Marion, Arkansas, and Dewitt Ware of Houston, Mississippi. The pallbearers were Zane Clark, Edward Duncan, Charles Neal, George Neal, Edward Parker, and Amer Turman.
