POPE – Rosie Ware Tellis, 31, died of cancer Tuesday at South Panola Community Hospital of Batesville. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Pope Chapel AME Zion Church, where she was an usher, with burial in the church cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary of Batesville has charge. Mrs. Tellis, the wife of Charles Tellis, also leaves three sisters, Elizabeth Ware and Thelma Robinson, both of Batesville, and Lue Bertia Ware of Pope; two brothers, Harry James Ware and Johnnie Ware, both of Pope, and her grandmother, Mary Shegog of Pope.
