Dorothy Elizabeth Ware Obituary, 1991

MRS. DOROTHY ELIZABETH WARE, of Memphis died Sunday at her home after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, where she was a communicant, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Union Chapel has charge. She was a director emeritus of Daughters of the Nile Dance Unit and an active member of Daughters of the Nile, past president of Gailor Guild and Altar Committee, and past church school teacher. She leaves her husband, William T. ‘Billy’ Ware; a daughter, Mrs. Denise Ware Stacks of Brandon, Miss.; a son, Herbert M. Fields of Bartlett; her mother, Mrs. Velna Kidd, and a sister, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Howze, both of Douglas, Ga., and three grandchildren. The family requests any memorials be sent to St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral or Daughters of the Nile.
