Robert J. Ware (1836 – 1862)

Robert was the son of Jemison and Joyce Ann Ware of Calhoun County Arkansas. He enlisted August 17, 1861 at Mt Vernon, MO. He was promoted to Sgt. June 1,1862. Robert was killed in the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee on December 31, 1862.

Robert’s mother was Joicy Ann Malone Nixon, md. 1821 in Clarke Co. Georgia James Nixon who died, and she then married second to Jemison Ware. In 1838 he (Jemison) bought land -Alabama Land Entries-the Elisha Powell name on the document at ancestry.com is Joicy’s sister, Elizabeth Malone who md. Elisha Powell. They resided in 1850 in Talledega Co., Alabama where some of their children born and Margaret Ann Ware Russell was married.
