Added by: Shirley Ware, 79 year old Ft. Supply resident, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. Shirley Ann (Adams) Ware was born on August 8, 1937 in Shattuck, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of John Henry and Mae (Manor) Adams.
Shirley grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo High School. She was united in marriage to Virgil Ware in 1978 in Ft. Supply, Oklahoma. They made their home in Ft. Supply and she has lived there since that time. Shirley worked as a Printer at Western State Hospital and retired from there after 43 years.
Shirley was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ft. Supply. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to church, visiting friends and going on evening drives. She also loved playing the slots at the casino.
She is survived by three brothers, John Bradley Adams and wife Shirley of Woodward; Thomas McKenna of Fargo; Robert Adams of Ft. Supply; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives, friends, and close friends of fifty plus years, Jean and Bob Holloway; and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Adams; mother, Mae McKenna; step-father, Milton McKenna; her beloved husband, Virgil Ware; one sister, Jean LittleCharley; one brother, James Adams; and her grandmother, Mary Mathis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Fort Supply United Methodist Church with the Reverend Phil Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery.
