Wife of Wm. Henry Ware, daughter of Wm. Rowe Brown and Nora Yeary; mother of one daughter, Pauline Quata Smith Hemphill, and five sons, B.L. Smith, Jimmie Henry Ware, Howard Lloyd Ware, Dowling Rucker Ware, and Wm. Rowe Ware. She came to Merkel, Tx by train at the age of 3 with her family. Her father was a butcher and a Baptist preacher. They farmed in Fisher and Jones Counties. She was a homemaker and former Sunday School teacher.
