Added by: Rhoda Marie Ware, 87, of Kerrville, TX passed away on June 8, 2015 in Kerrville. She was born in Utopia, TX to J.B. and Lillie Mae Smallwood on March 29, 1928. She married Billy Ray Ware, Sr. on December 7, 1946 in Uvalde County.
She graduated from high school in Utopia, TX. She worked as a bookkeeper at Fidelity Title, Co. for 24 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star as well as various card and domino clubs around town.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Lillie Mae Smallwood; her husband, Billy Ray Ware, Sr.; her son, Beal Monroe Ware; and six of her brothers and sisters.
Rhoda is survived by her children, Lynda Wilson of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Alyce Johnson of Kerrville, TX, and Billy Ware of Jourdanton, TX; her brother, Robert Douglas (Pat) Smallwood; one aunt, Cleo Lemon; sisters-in-law, Fannie Mae (Lloyd) Chambers, Kay (Cotton) Smallwood and Beverly Peters; four grandchildren, Janel (Matt) McFadyen, April (Luis) Everett, Brandon (Jaime) Pigg, and Clint (Brenda) Johnson; nine great grandchildren, Braeden McFadyen, Ainsley McFadyen, Ben Pigg, Chase McFadyen, Noah Everett, Ryan Pigg, Ryan-Matthew Everett, Logan Everett and Emma Johnson; her near and dear nieces, Sissie (Todd) Sandidge, Brenda (Jose) Martinez and Sherry (Robert) Brown and their families, as well as many more nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at Waresville Cemetery in Utopia, TX on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11 AM officiated by Paul Stephens.
Memorials may be given to the Dietert Center or Peterson Hospice of Kerrville, TX.
The family of Rhoda Ware wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Peterson Memorial Hospital, Peterson Hospice and Hilltop Village.
