MARKS – Dorothy Ware Benson, 81, homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Belen Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home has charge. She was active in Baptist missions programs and was WMU president for many years. Mrs. Benson was a Sunday school teacher for 20 years and was the oldest living member of the Marks Garden Club. Mrs. Benson, the wife of Joe E. Benson, also leaves a daughter, Sue Benson Carter of Helena, Ark.; a son, Ed Benson of Marks, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be made to Belen Cemetery Association or First Baptist Church of Marks.
