Charles Joseph Ware Sr. Obituary, 2005

Charles J. Ware Sr., age 69, of North Market Street, Loudonville, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. He was born August 4, 1935, in Mount Vernon, the son of the late Lawrence C. “Mousey” and Bertha Christina (Beeman) Ware. Charles was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1953 to 1962. He was retired from the Flexible Company where he had worked for 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Loudonville and of the V.F.W. in Killbuck.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann (Horning) Ware, three sons; Charles J. Ware and Carl E. Ware both of Glenmont, Ohio and Michael A. Ware of Loudonville, Ohio a daughter and son-in-law Laura J. (Scott) Thompson of Nashville, Ohio, two grandchildren; Ashley Nichole Thompson and Brandon Scott Thompson, two brothers; John D. Ware of Mount Vernon and Richard E. Ware of Apple Creek, Ohio, and a sister Mary Ellen Nottingham of Shepherd, Texas.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Christine Ann Ware, a son James E. Ware, a brother Robert Ware and a half-brother Wayne Ballard.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Pastor Joe Blevins will conduct a graveside service on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Counsel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles’ name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013 Columbus, Ohio 43218.
