Jessica Mikel, born in Eunice, La., raised in Neosho, Mo., and resident of Joplin, Mo., passed away July 8th, 2016.

Known by many as Jessi or Mines, Jessica was a caretaker and friend to everyone she met. Mother to daughter Mia (8) and son Colten (4), Jessica gave her all to her children, husband Derek, family, and occupation as a respiratory therapist. Jessica brooked no bullies, had a free spirit, a generous soul, offered her love to all she came across, loved and lived life like no other, and will forever be missed, loved, and remembered by everyone she touched.

As a strong supporter of the Lafayette House, all donations may be made in her name.
