Edward M. Ware

Edward M. Ware, age 81, passed away February 8, 2018, in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was born in Roseburg, February 21, 1936, to Gordon and Ruth Ware (deceased).

Edward grew up on a ranch located on the corner of Garden Valley Blvd. and Kline St., with siblings, Larry (deceased) and Linda (deceased). He enjoyed spending time with Darley and Wanda Ware (uncle and aunt) and many cousins on the Laurel Crest Ranch where he rode horses, hunted and attended family barbecues.

After graduating from Roseburg High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force serving from 1954-1958. He then attended Oregon Technology Institute graduating in 1960 with a degree in diesel engine repair. In 1964, he married Tamara Stamey of Myrtle Creek and had two children, Julie and David (deceased). His love of the outdoors led him to a 36 year career with the BLM as a timber cruiser and log scaler, retiring in 1994. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, baseball and football. He was a Seattle Mariners and Seahawks fan. He enjoyed listening to the radio show “Buy, Swap and Sell”. His favorite music artists were Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Ann Murray, Barbara Streisand and the Carpenters. He was an avid gun and coin collector.

Edward is predeceased by his nephew, Gordon. He is survived by his ex-wife, Tamara Ware; daughter, Julie Ware; niece, Susan; and many cousins.

No service will be held at his request.
