Nona Lee Ware, 88, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Ware was born on January 6, 1928, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Chester Arthur & Ella Blanche (Young) Ott. She was a 1946 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She married Edward Frank Ware on July 30, 1950 in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded in death on September 8, 2013. Mrs. Ware had lived in the Hillsboro, IL area her entire life, except for a short time when she lived in DeKalb, IL, while Ed attended Northern Illinois University and in Olney, IL where Ed taught school and coached. She was very fortunate to be a homemaker. Mrs Ware was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL; Hillsboro Hospital Auxiliary; delivered Meals on Wheels; loved playing Bridge and loved having large family gatherings with her children, siblings and family.

Mrs. Ware is survived by three daughters, Susan (husband Bob) Pollard of Hillsboro, IL; Patricia (husband Dr. Brian) Cady of Hillsboro, IL & Lisa (husband Marvin) Traylor of Hillsboro, IL; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Beth Ware, in infancy, in 1970 five brothers, Kenneth Ott, Jack Ott, Larry Ott, Leroy “Buzz” Ott, & James Ott and two sisters, Eloise Carter & Mary Jo Kenney.

Memorials are suggested for Wares Grove Cemetery Association or Hillsboro Area Hospital.
