A former Franklin resident, Mr. Glen Ray Ware, age 81 of Gallatin, TN, died Monday, December 3, 2018 at his residence. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday at 1pm with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Beatrice Moyers Ware. He was raised from an early age by his grandparents, Robert & Myrtle Mann in Franklin. He was a police officer in Franklin and worked 35 years as a security officer with Sumner Regional Medical Center and the L&C Tower in Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his companion of 12 years – Shirley Ann Maxey. He has now joined Shirley in Heaven with Jesus. They had enjoyed spending many hours together listening to music, going to movies, shopping and fishing along the Cumberland River. Two children – Steven Glen Cothron and Robin Ware Smith also preceded him in death. He is survived by his son – Kelly Ware of Bowling Green and a brother – Jerry Moyers (Judy) of Michigan.
