Phillip Andrew Ware, I (BKA Andy and Woof) was born March 13, 1977 to the late Elmer Phillip Ware and Stacia Joell Gaines. He gained his heavenly wings on December 17, 2019 in Tappahannock, Virginia.
He joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Hustle, Virginia. At an early age and later joined Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Montpelier, Virginia. Phillip was an active member of the Brotherhood. Phillip received his education in the public system of Essex County.
Phillip had a trucking career that spanned over 20 years to include NNT, Long Haul Trucking, Payne Trucking, Engle Family Farms, and D. W. Cary Hauling, Inc. prior to his illness. He was known on the CB as “Road Dog”. His passion for drag racing and mopars lead him to start a racing team (Redeye Racing) with his brother Bob and retired undefeated. He as also a self-taught electric guitar player. Phillip composed his own song, “A Cold Goodbye”.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, whom he adored, Tricia S. Ware; four children that he loved unconditionally, Brianna Ware, Phillip Andrew Ware, II (Drew), Jerquan Tyler, and Shawn Willis; mother, Stacia Gaines; uncle/brother inseparable, Robert A. Gaines, Sr. (AKA Bob Starr); uncle, Clyde B. Shelton, Jr.; aunts, Lennette Coghill (Valee), Kathy Richards (Roy), Sandra Ware, Janice Ware, Margaret Henry, Patricia S. Wise (C. Wise), Velma Shelton (Frank), Cynthia Winston-Pryor (Ray),; grandmother, Edith Shelton; brother-in-law, Randall Davis (Jessica), father-in-law, Calvin Lewis; a host of nephews and nieces, Danzell Gaines, Aaron Gaines, Robert A. Gaines, Jr., Alexus Gaines, Allan Wright, Andrew Shelton, Brandon Scott and a host of friends, devoted Harry Jackson and Sylvester Robinson.
