William Morgan (1766 – 1857)

“William Morgan, b. January 1766 in Onslow County, North Carolina, died 30 October 1857 in Meriwether County, Georgia.  He was a Revolutionary War Soldier who fought at the Battle of Kettle Creek in Wilkes County; a Certificate of General Elijah Clark dated 3 March 1784 certified that he was a soldier.

He married Sally Ware (born 25 December 1765 in Virginia) on 6 January 1792, a daughter of Peter and Susan Ware…”
