Merle K. Ware, 77, of Owensboro passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Swayne Kuykendall. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Odell Ware; and one brother, Henry Kuykendall. Merle was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she served as a trustee. She also was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 696.

She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn the loss of her passing, one son, Brandon Odell Ware; two daughters, Shawna Ware-Smith and Nicole Blane; 10 grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald Kuykendall.

Services are noon Friday at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial is in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. McFarland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.mcfarlandfh.com.
