WARE, Ruth Alta Oct. 17, 1921 – Dec. 9, 2008 Ruth was a native of Sacramento, Calif., and resided there for 87 years. With family by her side, she passed peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with age related illness. Ruth was the second of five children born to George W. and Daisy P. Mayberry. A devoted wife and loving mother, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence V. Ware Sr. and by her sons and their spouses; William P. Noble Jr. (Sylvia), Lawrence V. Ware Jr., Barry A. Ware (Carla), Cary W. Ware, and Terry W. Ware (Angelique). She is survived by her sister Dorothy Messina and brother George Mayberry Jr. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Gladys Bonsack, brother Donald Mayberry and her son Gary E. Noble. There will be a Celebration of Life (open house) on Monday, Dec. 15, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the family home in Sacramento. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
