William T. Ware Obituary, 1995

CHILLICOTHE — William T. Ware, 71, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Chillicothe, died Friday, May 12, 1995, at Boswell Memorial

Hospital in Sun City.

Born Dec. 13, 1923, in Nortonville, Ky., to Albert and Thelma Belcher Ware, he married Gena R. Riddle. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Hammond, Ind.; two daughters, Sharon L. Clements of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ruth Ann Garrels of Kent, Wash.; one son, William of Hobart, Ind.; three sisters, Carolyn Smith of Illinois, June Zappia of St. John, Ind., and Jolene Bananti of Hobart; and 11 grandchildren.

He was an iron worker in steel construction, working on the Alaskan Highway in 1943 and on the Dew Line in 1959. An World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4999 and Masonic Lodge 222, both in Chillicothe.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. There will be no visitation. Sunland Mortuary in Sun City is in charge of arrangements.
