Robert Brian Ware Obituary, 2003

Robert Brian “Bobby” Ware of Quincy, formerly of Milton, an award-winning advertising art director, died Friday after a long illness. He was 45.

Born in Boston, Mr. Ware was raised in Milton. He graduated from Milton High School in 1976 and the New England School of Design.

Mr. Ware served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976 to 1979.

After five years as Deputy Sheriff for the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office in Dedham, Mr. Ware entered the advertising field as an art director where he won numerous advertising industry awards.

Mr. Ware also received the Spiritual Award from the South Shore YMCA in Quincy and the United Way’s “Profile in Courage” award in January 2001. Mr. Ware gave his time to the American Cancer Society and he volunteered at St. Agatha Church in Milton where he worked with the children to create spiritual murals for the school’s hallways and cafeteria. Mr. Ware was also an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy as well as the prayer group at St. Joseph’s Church, also in Quincy.

Mr. Ware is survived by his wife, Maria G. (Marseglia); his parents, Paul I. and Dorothy (Devine) of Milton; his brothers, Paul of Rockland, Michael of Provincetown, and Mark of Milton; his sisters, Barbara McEvoy of Quincy, and Lorraine of Falmouth, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, Milton.

Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
