Sieglinde M. Ware 1942 – 2017 Springfield, IL— Sieglinde M. Ware, 75, of Springfield, passed away at her home, at 8:56 am Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 with her husband by her side. She was born June 10, 1942 in Hallstadt, Germany the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Felser) Kistner. She married George H. Ware August 27, 1962 and he survives. She is also survived by her sister, Hanelore Cegla of Germany, and two grandchildren: Victoria and James Ware both of Tennessee. Her parents, two sons; Ivan and Harold Ware as well as her brother, Josef Kistner preceded her in death. Sieglinde worked at Mel-O-Cream Doughnuts for 25 years, and then retired from Springfield School District 186 where she worked in the cafeteria at Harvard Park School. After retirement, her love for the students led her to become a “grandparent” at the school assisting children with their studies. She was an active member and volunteer at Lakeside Christian Church. Sieglinde had several hobbies: cross stitch, bowling, flower arranging, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. She enjoyed watching The Price is Right. She found great joy in “Day Trips” she and George would take to various places. Cremation Rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory prior to services. Visitation: There will be a memorial visitation at Lakeside Christian Church 225 Toronto Rd. Springfield, from 4-7 pm Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at Lakeside Christian Church with Pastor’s Jon Morressette and Jay Brooks officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Memorial Home Hospice 701 N. First St. Springfield, IL 62702.
