ABBEVILLE -Francis Mc-Neill “Bugs” Ware, 81, of Magazine St. passed away June 23, 2018, at his home.
Born in Abbeville on Oct. 2, 1936, he was a son of the late Willie James and Elizabeth McNeill Ware.
A graduate of Abbeville High School class of 1955, he remained close to his classmates eating breakfast together each month.
He was a retired supervisor with the Abbeville Milliken Plant with more than 40 years of service. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church for more than 70 years.
An avid sports fan, he supported the Clemson Tigers.
Survivors include two daughters Marie South (Tom) of Abbeville, and Leighann Mattison (Brian) of Belton; son Robert Ware (Lori) of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friend and ex-wife Joyce Ware; special friends, Shelia Ware LaGreca, Lindsey and Lucy Bowen, Drayton Findley, and the Brian and Sheri Foster family.Plant
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Billy Ware.
Funeral services were held June 26 at Main Street UMC, with Rev. Brian Arant and Dr. Wilma Reeves Phillips officiating. Burial was in Sharon UMC Cemetery.
